Overview

The Lighthouse is a roguelite card game built in Unity — every run is a journey through eight procedurally-arranged nights, building a deck strong enough to survive what’s waiting at the end.

What I built

  • A real card system — 34 cards spanning 10 keyword mechanics that combine into builds, with an in-game codex explaining every interaction.
  • Procedural runs — an 8-night map that lays out differently each time, culminating in one of 3 boss finales.
  • A complete look — AI-generated card art (made with my own asset tools) giving the whole deck a cohesive feel.

What it taught me

This was my deep dive into Unity and C# — state machines, a data-driven card architecture, and the surprisingly deep design problem of making cards that are both simple to read and interesting to combine.
