MemoryLane

A SaaS platform that helps families preserve multi-generational stories through AI-guided interviews — an AI asks thoughtful follow-up questions, captures the story, tags it, and can turn it into printed memory books.

Overview

The best family stories tend to disappear — they live in one person’s memory and leave with them. MemoryLane is a platform designed to capture them while there’s still time, by making the act of remembering feel like a conversation instead of a chore.

How it works

An AI interviewer (built on Firebase Genkit + Gemini) guides someone through telling a story, asking natural follow-up questions to draw out the details that make it real. Each story is transcribed, tagged, and saved into a private family portal.

What I built

  • Conversational AI capture — adaptive interviews that get richer the more you talk, not a static form.
  • A real business model — full Stripe subscription billing with tiered plans, a credits system, and add-ons for physical products like printed books.
  • A complete platform — auth, a family portal, a referral program, and groundwork for a B2B tier.

Status

A production-shaped MVP — this one is as much a business as a build, with the full subscription and monetization layer wired up end to end.
